Inspiration? I mean Bandai and Aniplex seem to be in a death race to see who can copy the others ideas the most though Bandai always seems to be ever so one step ahead in the whole commercialism game. One makes an Idol anime, the other licenses an idol property from the other to make an anime out of, one makes a robot anime to "supersede" the others classic franchise and the other counters with the original classic franchise and even doubles up on it the next season after so on and so forth. Yawn.....$50 cakes though....I guess when your properties are as hot as Bandai Namco's and Aniplex's the prices are right. Surprised they haven't made Love Live and idolMASTER the cakes already though considering either one would fly off the shelves.

More tgab 40 USD per cake, I think is a bit expensive for a cake.

If ya guys really want to choose your own pictures, ya know ya can print these edible cake prints at home using a regular inkjet printer or order online. It's not too expensive. Smile

Darn, they're just edible print-outs. But I guess these are meant to be mass-produced, so you're not going to have those beautiful hand-made cakes with the fondant sculptures on top with more fondant decorated in the style of the licensed property.

But surely, for about 4800 yen, they could do better than print out an image and then just putting a heart-shaped frosting frame with a few decorative fruits in the corner. At least theme the cake colors on the characters!
