Not sure if you've seen Gaim (more specifically, the ending), but that's actually pretty accurate.
Also, not sure which episode(s) that map was in, but I'm pretty sure the map that was in later episodes was the second one. So it was changed during the course of the series. |

I suspect it was a set designer's laziness. You see this a lot in anime which has pages of English text that are just copy-pasted English Wikipedia entries which have nothing to do with what is being talked about. Most native viewers won't notice it, so they can get away with it.

In the first opening for Go-Busters, the text overlay on parts of the opening was actually the source code for the English Wikipedia page on the Super Sentai franchise. It can be seen here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Ironically... the page was edited right after this aired, so the source code didn't match anymore. |
