It's too bad that Section 23's first collector's edition had to hit a snag. I hope it works out for them. From what I understand it can sometimes be a big pain in the rump getting what you need from Japan when you're a North American company. Hopefully no one pre-ordered it with the hopes of giving it as a Christmas gift.

Who cares about that, where's the regular edition? If it wasn't for the crap being added to it, it wouldn't have been delayed?
Seeing how the sub only DVD was released earlier in the year to complaints about it not having a dub to a dubbed version not having a regular release, this title has been cursed with incompetence time and again. Though to be fair, that's not unique to this Sentai title. |

At least a date is given for the newly intended release date and I do wish that Funi would apply this with Ben-To and Eva 3.3.

Wait, people complained about the sub version not having a dub? And, from what I remember, the dub version and this collector's edition were meant to come out at the same time? Well, that is the impression I got from this: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-04-07/sentai-filmworks-announces-english-dub-for-love-chunibyo-and-other-delusions Wouldn't be surprised if they're holding off on the regular dub edition because they think that it might impact on the limited edition. I mean, I do wonder how many people wouldn't wait if a dub had come out already and they knew they had to wait until next Feb for the LE version of it. |

Yes. It's better for it to be delayed than come out horrible. If Sentai makes this one of their bad releases, they'll never hear the end of it. |

The record keeps growing. By the time Chuunibyou S1 is finally released, almost 29 months would have been passed since the series began airing. I am still keeping my pre-order but damn.
And I wonder when is Sentai releasing S2. I would prefer if they did not do a CE if that means avoiding ridiculous delays.
Sentai has not said anything about a (dub BD) regular edition.
People began complaining about the lack of a dub since Sentai announced on January 2014 that the release was going to be sub only. Unfortunately Sentai dropped the ball by waiting until April of this year to backtrack and add dub plans, causing the BD release with a dub to be delayed. |

I'd much rather get a standard edition with the dub I don't need a fancy SE, Sentai. If I'm going to blind buy this I'd rather not spend an arm and leg.
I may not even like the show but if buying helps encourage more dubs in the future I'm all for it. |
