I really hope this does well and Daisuki announce an Official Stream for Season 3 when it airs in the Autumn. I've really enjoyed this show over the last 2 years and am really glad an official stream has been announced (even if it is only season 1 at the moment)
Hey maybe this means were one step closer to an official Precure Stream - hint hint Toei Animation |

This show is becoming something of a merchandising juggernaut for Bandai in Japan. From what I understand streaming doesn't seem like it would work for this show in the West all that well if they're serious about expanding it's audience. While the arcade game and what not have managed to pick up a middle aged audience similar to Precure which it competes against in Japan this is the kind of show that is aimed at primarily at little girls and should be going on TV beside Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and the like. If it does well enough maybe they could even selling some of the merchandise in Western stores.

It's going to be a LONG haul, man! It makes me wonder if any of the ANN reviewers have continued watching this series. |

This makes me happy. I don't know why I enjoy this show so much, I guess it's just cute and because there's a character named Johnny Bepp in it. Usually it seems really childish and episodic/performance-of-the-week ish (although fun), but that simplicity makes the decent/good foreshadowed type stuff all the more surprising when it happens.

Here's the problem: The market for girl centric shows in America is in a rather bad position. It's never been fantastic, but it's gotten worse in recent years. While you do have your My Little Pony series, which has gotten a secondary audience with men, Aikatsu! would struggle to find a tv partner. Even if they succeeded, there's no guarantee the network would treat it right. Hell, Nickelodeon bought and co-produced further seasons of Winx Club with Rai, but ultimately they ended up neglecting the show here in the states. This is rather frustrating, considering they were putting money into the project, not just dubbing and distributing it over here. Saban's "Glitter Force" (which has been all but confirmed to be Pretty Cure) looks to have struggled to find any shape of home. They've been rather quiet on it since it was initially announced (originally as "Gangnam Girls", before that trademark was denied), and with the Vortexx failing, it's looking unlikely they'll be able to get it on television. Saban recently filed for an extension (they were really pushing it, with only a couple weeks left on it) and was granted, for the trademark, so they're still trying. Just the outlook isn't looking good. Honestly, at this point, the series might have a better chance of finding an audience online. Provided that it's advertised properly, of course. It might be part of the reason why the streaming was delayed for Aikatsu!, since I believe they were trying to find a partner in the US and other territories for it. |

Anyway, it's about time Daisuki got some more exclusives. The only show I was ever interested in watching there was Zeta Gundam and they removed it from the site. |

That's essentially why all the shoujo shows don't get licensed. Animation for girls here in America is non-existant, outside the obvious pony cartoon but that's mutated into something else at this point. Streaming is the best we can hope for for these shows, unless they're old titles that companies can cash in on nostalgia like Sailor Moon. -Stuart Smith |

Sigh...
A female-centered show that I want to see get popular in the U.S., but knows all too well that that'll never happen, since it seems that Shoujo-themed shows seem to have a hard time getting through the door... |

Finally! A legal stream for a young girls anime that's currently airing!
I get so sick of watching them via download or through an illegal channel I hope its a hit for Daisuki |

My reaction exactly. If I ever find myself with internet access while cooped up somewhere in Antarctica, I know what I'll be adding to my viewing options. |

Otaku would crowd themselves in-between these kids shows before they even get to the children. Historically, the ones that even got a bit of success are those able to reach the children first. |
