Yeah I'm thinking the same thing too. Wish I could check the exhibit out if I go to Japan. |

Speaking of which…
When is someone going to get around to animating the rest of the 12 Kingdom light novels? One of my top two favorite anime of all time. |

I have to admit tho, I'd rather see the light novels start back up than anything else get animated. |

Coincidentally, Dorothy "Youko" Elias-Fahn also played Konan the paper shinobi in Shippuden.

There was a new short story collection last year, which was accompanied by a change in publisher. The new publisher reissued the whole series thus far with new Yamada covers, and a different cover design. (First rule of collecting a long Japanese novel series as it comes out: it WILL change publishers midway, and you'll either have to rebuy books or be content with an inconsistent set of covers.) The new publisher isn't known for light novels, and I think it's iffy whether the term should be applied to this series. Even when the "White Heart" editions (a shoujo light novel label) were coming out, Kodansha kept a non-illustrated "mainstream" edition in print simultaneously, targeting general readers. With the change of publisher, we've probably seen the last of any 12 Kingdoms material coming out from a light novel imprint. As for when we'll see more, that's anybody's guess. Ono seems to publish in bursts rather than a steady stream. The good news is that she's finished her revision of the Ghost Hunt novels, so those at least aren't taking up space in her schedule anymore. As for that art book, I'll just borrow the immortal words from "Wayne's World" and say, "It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine...!" |
