Mana Khemia is really a subseries of Atelier, not a spin-off, being games A9 and A10.

So I take it that mean any future game from Gust will now be published by Koei Tecmo (in Japan, and outside of Japan), correct??

KT has owned Gust since the release of Atelier Ayesha.
The North American and Japanese releases of Atelier Ayesha, Atelier Escha & Logy, and Atelier Rorona Plus have all had the KT logo, along with the Gust logo.
The Japanese releases of Atelier Shallie, Ciel Nosurge and Ar Nosurge also had both logos.

Actually Ar is being put out by NISA again in a nice CE. So maybe KT will still let them put out the rpg games, because frankly the Atelier games they put out were in less than stellar formats.

Really I didn't know that, I haven't been paying attention to JRPGs a lot.

Ar nosurge is being localized by KT still. NISA is only producing a limited edition packaging.
As DavidShallcross kind of pointed out... Mana Khemia isn't a spin off but one of the Atelier subseries as they are numbered Atelier games (A9 and A10). There are only two Atelier games that I know of that aren't part of the main series, Atelier Annie for the DS and the Atelier Mobile game released recently.
