That's not Hanazawa Kana. That's Mizuki Nana with the curry chips.

Does ANN even employ anyone who knows Japanese? Or who has enough common sense to wonder why a Hanazawa promotional campaign is called 'NANACAN' and includes 'mizuki_campaign' in its website URL?

Given how many roles Kana Hanazawa does every season, she's probably the last seiyuu you want to have this kind of mistake. It's the equivalent of the NBA having an article with a picture of LeBron and saying it's Kobe.

If that really is Kana Hanazawa in that photo, she must have done exceptionally well to both act and disguise herself as Nana Mizuki.
However, I'm having a urgent feeling that this may not be the case at all... |

Very interesting thanks for sharing this. I often wondered if Japanese fans ever pay attention to English fansites, databases etc I mean they have to learn English in school don't they and English sites probably have larger servers if they're popular sites with a high Alexa ranking In the past I tried looking for Japanese sites that were similar but had no luck. I guess private otaku blogs and Japanese wikipedia are good enough If lots of Japanese fans are in fact visiting sites like ANN and myanimelist it would explain why some users have zero post history (not confident in their English writing skills?) |
