Wow, this is great. I'm glad manga is getting more attention these days.

Such fantastic news! I'm particularly impressed that the intention is to have it be free - Japanese publishers often seem not to understand the market realities on this side of the Pacific, and while I'd be happy to pay a few bucks for the manga (Tonari no Seki-kun in English? Yes please!) I suspect that I am still more the exception than the norm. I'm looking forward to a stack of titles that haven't shown up on these shores yet, either - it'll be interesting to see what they decide to translate.

Alright Kadokawa, it's the best time to bring at least 1 or 2 Kancolle manga in English.

Not when the original game is banned to everyone but Japanese people.
Kadokawa is never gonna give us anything Kancolle-related, trust me. Our best chances are someone licensing the anime (if it ever actually comes out...) or the PSVita game.

You know Vertical's publishing it in book-format this fall, right? :D

This sounds really nice. I've shied away from these sorts of manga services before, but I might take the plunge this time.

I wonder if everything will eventually be translated, or if it'll only be a portion. Some of these like Evangelion, Tonari no Seki-kun, Highschool DxD already have or will be getting English print releases, so I wonder if these will also be on ComicWalker.

This sounds really sweet. The ability to 'make your own magazine' sounds like a dream come true.
I hope Gundam the Origin is one of the initial English translations.

Cool. Maybe we'll finally get Sora No Otoshimono and hopefully have Mirai Nikki back. Some more Strike Witches mangas as well would be nice. I'm curious about the Kancolle illustration award though. What exactly is it, some kind of contest?

Yeah, but that involves waiting!! I saw the release about that and it's definitely something to look forward to, but with a small stack of volumes already out I figure it could be mid-2015 before Vertical gets to all the material that's already available. It's hardly the only reason to be excited about Kadokawa's service, but it's definitely one among the many.

It's licensed by Seven Seas and will be available LEGALLY in English.
[EDIT: Took out the reference to the scanlation site. -TK]

This is fantastic news! I am particularly glad to see Boku dake ga Inai Machi on the list of titles. That is a fantastic story!

What she said. Four series I believe are licensed by Seven Seas. The first one I think just got released February.
