It's crazy how Yokai Watch got more ratings than Inazuma Eleven GO! Galaxy which is alot better, I guess it losing ratings or it did help whatever.

I think it's safe to say Youkai Watch is Level 5's new baby now that Danball Senki ended and Inazuma Eleven has been waning a bit in popularity. This is a new record for Youkai Watch. I guess that's why Level 5 said they were interested in bringing it stateside. Just hope it doesn't get too edited when/if it does, it's concept is pretty rooted in Japanese culture/myths which might cause problems.

Cause problems, or, heaven-forbid, unconsciously broaden kids' cultural horizons with something cool and fun?

I hear you man, but that's generally not how companies here see it. They usually try to stamp out anything Japanese-y in these kinds of shows/games.
