Congrats to all the winners! I correctly predicted the winners for the Best Vocal, Best Rookie Male, Most Votes, and to an extent the Best Actor awards. =D I was thinking that Kaji would get Best Actor because of Shingeki but since he won the award last year I wasn't sure if they'd give it to him again. But hey, since Kamiya's won the Most Votes Award three years in a row, why not?

Hiroshi Kamiya, Mamoru Miyano, Ishikawa Kaito and Daiki Yamashita! I really want Daiki Yamashita to get more roles.
And yay for Maaya Uchida! She's great as Hiyori Iki from Noragami. EDIT: How could I have forgotten Hosoyan? I'm so sorry Hosoyan! |

Anpanman Representative, shouldn't it be "Keiko Toda"? And I totally agree with Anpanman being recognized. Wow, Higa Kumiko even!
Of course Kaji. It was only a matter of time. GJ Uchida Maaya. Also happy for Toriyama Kei award. |

I just looked at what Rina Satou did in anime in the last year, and it does not seem that impressive. To me Risa Taneda has a better resume than her for 2013. Of course, Miyuki Sawashiro and Kana Hanazawa could receive the award for best voice actress every year with the amount of quality work they usually do.

Satou is kind of an odd choice. From what I can tell, these were her significant character roles of the 2013:
Hyperdimension Neptunia - Vert Minami-ke Tadaima - Haruka Railgun S - Misaka Misaka is a big deal but I don't really see how those roles won her female Seiyuu of the year |

I do feel Mikako Komatsu should win something some day...she's been impressing me a lot lately. Especially in her singing ability. That's the only one I disagree with really. I think her performance for the "Sunday Without God" (Kamisama no inai nichiyoubi) Ending song was just fantastic. I didn't even realize it was her when I first heard the song. I thought it was some random professional Jpop singer. When I saw the credits I did a double-take. |

Satou also voiced Ema in Brothers Conflict. I don't really know about process of chosing, but it surprises me that there's no any of Kill la Kill voice actors in it.

Well, it's always been rumored that the awards are rigged. *shrug* I used to vote in the past but haven't for the past couple years. (And Kamiya still wins even without my help, LoL.) |

btw, who were the other nominees for best lead actor? No offense, but I think Kaji Yuuji doesn't deserve to win the best lead actor this year. He won last year and that's enough. imo, he's good, but not that THAT good (even awesome seiyuu like Kamiya and Miyano only win once).

Heck, maybe Rina Satou will actually get more roles now. She's an outstanding actress who certainly does deserve it.
And I find it hilarious that on the ANN forums nobody knows that she voiced the lead in Azazel-san Z. You all realize that there is an encyclopedia on this website, right? |
