Wouldn't surprise me at all. KyoAni obviously wants to bolster its light novel line and High Speed is a very important series in that line. Not to mention the Free anime itself is doing very well in home-video, music, and misc. merchandise sales.

With Free coming to an end with a message like that, that might be an indication that show isn't over yet...
Here's hoping that Season 2 of Free is a possibility.

Well this is pretty disappointing to me. I didn't like it at all (watched about 3 episodes or so, thats what I give every anime to get good) and I also was hoping KyoAni would continue experimenting with new shows. And I still want a final FMP. And they should do Rewrite

I don't think you know what 'bara anime' is. The feminine-style used for the male characters in Free and Kuroko no Basket is pretty much the opposite of Bara. |

Lets hope that this means that we get to see more Free! in the future! It's been one of my favourites this season and I wouldn't mind seeing more.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are more episodes in the future, but I do hope so!! I love Free! and seeing 'next summer' in there makes me happy and sad lol. I hope it's brought to the states!

I don't think you know what "bara" completely entails yourself. It's not like Kinnikuman and beyond. Makoto and Kagami basically fulfill the "bara" ideal. Bara doesn't have to be full blown bodybuilder. Muscle tone for Haru, Rei, Rin, and Mikoshiba are all on the medium side of things too. I don't know how you completely miss the point of Go-chan and her muscle obsession and think Free! has nothing to do with "bara." Lol

To the ignoramus who made the connection between "big gay bears" and women: You obviously have a very narrow, closed mind about yaoi and women. ;D But, then again, you don't know many women to begin with anyways so that's expected LOL. |

Yeah, totally not bara. To my knowledge, bara tends to refer to that genre of manga by gay men for gay men and featuring much larger men than some school boys with some definition. Besides, the Free!s aren't even romantically or sexually involved with one another, or even homosexual at all, so far.
Let me guess, the definitions have shifted again and what was commonly referred to as bara goes by another name now. |
