Wow, he really looks like I'd expect the character of Shishio would look in real life. He's really spooky.

My problem is with demise of Blockbuster how I will be able to rent these films and Video Ave on life support. There seems a movement afoot to that if you have no credit or debit card you are not considered worthy as a customer. I loved the anime series and films and would like to see the live action adaptions but I am on a fix income and I can't afford a premium cable movie channel or to use Red Box. Sad

You won't be able to see them anyways, as not even the first one is avaliable in the US. Nobody has liscensed and released it here, which is a damn shame, as its been released in several other markets to a lot of fanfare.

Hold on. They cast all of the Juppongatana? How on earth are they going to fit them all into 2 movies?! Even the "New Kyoto Arc" anime completely failed to do that.

The "New Kyoto Arc" was two 47-minute OVAs, a total of 94 minutes. If these movies follow the pattern of the first one, they will be a little over two hours long each, giving 240+ minutes. That's a lot more time than the OVAs permitted. Though I imagine the less important Juppongatana will see a seriously reduced role in this movie, to the point of being glorified extras, esp. since they're introducing Shinomori Aoshi as well.

I hated as he "acted" in the Death Note movies... I hope he improved in the meanwhile. ^^'
