Disclaimer: I'm aware that this is an extremely common name, but it looks like there's a lot going on here. Also, I have about 4 more of these people with pretty common names from my work on Ace of Diamond. I'm going to be posting my findings in the next week or so. (You can check out the Ace of Diamond page for a sneak preview if you want! I entered their kanji names as precision to mark them for me.)

We have 3 main people, and a bunch that are possibly typos, misreadings, or just really short careers (or we just don't have any info on them).

渡辺陽 - Akira Watanabe (Writing) Also, current kanji spelling. However, it should be noted that the kanji is sourced to allcinema, and gives the reading as Hiroshi Watanabe. We have a Hiroshi Watanabe, but he's more of an animator than a writer, so a disambiguation would be in order.

Akira Watanabe (Translation)
I'm not going to check credits on any of these manga, but it would make an extreme amount of sense that this is a dude who works stateside.
Beyblade (manga) : Translation
Doomed Megalopolis (OAV) : Production Assistant
Fullmetal Alchemist (manga) : Translation
Ginga Legend Weed (manga) : Translation
Godchild (manga) : Translation
Kare First Love (manga) : Translation
Kazan (manga) : Editing (1-2, 4-5)
Legendz (manga) : Translation
Maico 2010 (manga) : Translation (vol. 4) , Editing (vols. 1-2)
Sarai (manga) : Editing
Zombie Powder (manga) : Translation

These credits need to be hidden, and re-added to 渡部明 - Akira Watabe (Animation)
(1986) Urusei Yatsura: Lum The Forever (movie) : Assistant Animator 渡部明
(1997) Vampire Princess Miyu (TV) : Key Animation (5 episodes) 渡部 明
(2005) Honey and Clover (TV) : Key Animation 渡部明
(2004) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (TV) : Key Animation (ep 3) 渡部明
(2009) Guin Saga (TV) : Key Animation 渡部明
Added to Akira Watabe

I would suggest splitting the Akira Watanabes into an the Animator and Translator listed above, and maybe a catch-all for all the ones below?

The rest are the onesey twosey stuff:

渡辺明 - Akira Watanabe (Animation)
(1984) Ashita Tenki ni Nare! (TV) : Key Animation (ep 27) 渡辺明
(2008) Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief (TV) : Key Animation (ep 15) 渡辺明 Verified

渡辺明 - Akira Watanabe (Producer)
(1984) Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer (movie) : Production Supervision 渡辺 明 Verified

渡辺昭 - Akira Watanabe (Producer) わたなべ・あきら I wouldn't trust that 100% though. Allcinema lists 3 production credits in 1998, then an art credit from 1935.
(1998) Cardcaptor Sakura (TV) : Executive producer (NEP21) 渡辺昭 Verified
(1998) YAT Anshin! Uchu Ryokou 2 (TV) : Production manager 渡辺昭

渡辺瑛 - Akira Watanabe (Photography)
(2006) Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales (TV) : Digital Photography (ep 7) 渡辺瑛
(2005) After Class Lesson (OAV) : Photography (Falcon) 渡辺瑛 Verified

渡辺旭 - Asahi Watanabe? (Supervisor)
(2009) (La) Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~ (special) : Supervision 渡辺旭

渡辺彰 - Akira Watanabe (Animation)
(2009) Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor (TV) : Key Animation (ep 3) 渡辺彰 Verified

渡邊章 - Akira Watanabe (Animation)
(2011) A Bridge to the Starry Skies (TV) : Key Animation (ep 9) 渡邊章 Verified

Cast in:
(1997) Princess Mononoke (movie) as Yamainu No such credit, 渡辺哲 (Tetsu Watanabe)
Having not seen Princess Mononoke is one of my greatest sins, but looking at the cast list on nausicaa.net and ja.wiki, I think this credit just needs to be deleted because Tetsu Watanabe is already credited with the same role.
Done.

MIA:
(1976) UFO Senshi Daiapolon (TV) : Executive producer Possibly 渡辺米彦, Yonehiko Watanabe
(1997) Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie) : Modeling Done
(2009) One Piece Film Strong World (movie 10) : Key Animation

Mononoke was easy so that's done.
If you re-add the Akira Watabe credits and let me know, I can deal with the duplicates.

I have the Eva movies. I'm trying to think if they left the credits unmolested - I'm sure they did for some "artistic" credits between Death and Rebirth, but can't recall if it was the same for EoE itself. I think it's actually on the floor by my bed from when I was going through my older Manga DVDs for reasons I forget so I will have to check when I get home. If I remember.

I can't directly move credits or merge people, so have to be darned sure when splitting that I get everything in one pass.
Might be worth checking some original sources for the stragglers in case there's typos on the wiki sites.

Chiko I can do since I have the DVDs. Once I get home and if my ailing memory holds out.

I've got Pioneer's CCS DVD which I think had English credits. I got rid of the bootlegs which didn't...

DTB is on FUNi's Youtube channel, and their subbed episodes have original credits... it's an awful font, but 渡辺彰 looks right.

A Bridge to the Starry Skies is on Crunchroll. Which doesn't play here in work. Can't nip out and try it on my phone because my break is almost up.

Most of the MIA stuff is movies and OVAs, so it should be easy to find in fansub form, it'll just take a little searching.

One thing I wanted to do was check all the various ways the bottom few kanji can be read, to make sure we didn't already have entries for them, but with no kanji. I kind of panicked and just posted when I was having that IP ban issue. I'll probably start that in about 5 hours, and hopefully my fansubs will be done downloading by then too.

(edit: wow, did it really take me two hours between starting my reply and posting it? Derek's post wasn't there when I started... I guess I did get distracted on the way though)

EoE has English credits. In the CG section they have "Modeling: Watanabe Akira". Of course, none of the other guys on this page do CG...
OK, found the swimming orange kanji I remembered - it's in the middle of the film for some unknown reason.

..what with poor compression, it not using the full frame and the effects it is almost illegible. 渡部暁?
D2 Station agrees, but the only other thing they have him in is Love Live doing 3DCG with "salt".
Looks like we have them as Akatsuki Watabe. The Norageki source provides the same kanji so it is at least the same person. I've added the Kanji to their page since whoever created the entry didn't bother..
I'll move the Eva credit over now.

The Nijuu Mensou credit is correct, or at least it does match the telop:

I doubt they animated two shows with a 24 year break inbetween so something is up there all the same. Probably a typo in the credits themselves.

Okay, I blew my self imposed timeline, but here is what I have:

Shiroi Hane wrote:

Done.

Kind of blurry, but:

The credit for 渡邊章 appears correct.

Shiroi Hane wrote:

The credit for 渡辺昭 appears correct.

The Beautiful Dreamer credit for 渡辺明 appears correct.

Lum the Forever credit is for 渡部明, so I've gone ahead and added that one to Akira Watabe. (As "Assistant animator" for now so it fits in. It looks like the whole page needs a bit of a scrubbing though.)

After Class Lesson credits belong to 渡辺瑛. Added to tables.

First post updated.
