I was wanting to add this new Higurashi manga release to my wish list, but it's not allowing me to for some reason. I also don't see it linked with the encyclopedia entry for Higurashi; I found the page for the release in the upcoming releases list. Am I doing something wrong or is something weird going on here?

No, it's not your problem. Something's wrong behind the curtain; it contains some tags I've never seen before.
The huge and complex relationship tree of Higurashi franchise has been a pain for a long time; I'm considering setting up an anthology for it. Thoughts? |

I would support a "When they Cry" anthology, if you include Umineko in there as well (since they are related, but not in any way we really have a way to describe).

LOL, this totally slipped my mind until I just now went to check if I could add this to my collection (since I bought it only recently), and the poor thing is still floating out there in the nether.
A "When They Cry" anthology would certainly clear things up a bit. As Dessa mentioned, I'd include Umineko no Naku Koro ni as well, since the original sound novels of Higurashi and Umineko had the subtitle "When They Cry" numbered 1-5, so they're considered to be part of the same series. Ryuukishi07's new series, Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni, while having a similar sounding title, doesn't have that "When They Cry" subtitle last I checked, so it'd remain separate. As for the manga I'm having an issue with, Onisarashi-hen/Demon Exposing Arc, while it's connected to the main Higurashi storyline, it was released as a standalone manga (even Yen Press doesn't have it numbered as being part of the main series), so I guess it needs its own entry. There's an existing entry for it in the new manga list already. |

Thought to try and add this to my collection again, and it's still just floating out there. Are you guys still trying to figure out how to handle this one?
Also, just noticed that there are two encyclopedia entries for the Higurashi manga... Sorry to keep re-bumping this thing; it's just driving my OCD self bonkers that I can't add this one to my collection. (ended up making a placeholder for now, but still! ) |

It's perfectly alright; however, in the past seven years, the more clearance I've acquired, the more problem I find, but there are still just 86400 seconds per day. I'm almost done with 2011; give me a few more days and I'll have some free time to head back on Encyclopedia errors. |

You should be able to add it now. I edited it to include the full title of the volume and it complained that no company was selected, which I fixed. It is now showing on the Higurashi releases list and I could add it to my collection.
I have no idea why we have two entries. |

Someone has submitted this to the bug tracker, but the forums are the more appropriate venue. I'm not sure if someone started splitting it up or whether a duplicate entry was just made by error (the later entry has only one artist, but her name was added three years after the title was approved) |
