This is good new indeed. I was just on their website an hour ago trying to find out it's air time. I came across the BD package. Hearing about a ep. 14 is a good sign to know the craziness will continue. I was curious about this because ANN doesn't have anymore updates for what's next for the series. I've been trying to find info into whether next week will be an ep. 13. Or a rescheduling for a later date. So I can't wait.

Uh...Kill La Kill is a 24-episode show. There's obviously going to be an episode 13.

9 volumes and only 14 episodes? Surely that's a typo for "24th episode"?

I sure can't wait for Aniplex to charge $400 to buy this show!

I know that. But what I am saying there hadn't been any updates listing the rest of the eps. yet. Whether it's going to be 24 or 25 episode show I needed know if the series was still going to proceed as usual or will there be a delay before the next half. But now having watched 12 just now everything has been answered.

Neither can I! You know, it sure is great seeing the anime industry push so hard for this 'unaired' episode this to make consumers buy their product! I mean, nevermind that it's not practiced in other countries and for MOST television shows, Behind the Scenes or commentary is the content reserved for those purchases, no, viewers need to be strong armed into having a reason to purchase a physical copy of a show they only wish to watch once.
It doesn't matter if this content isn't integral to the show's overall plot or if it is, episodes being locked to DVD only, never going to be simulcasted, pretty much has to be downloaded and torrented episodes is really starting to piss me off. I mean, I SURE would LOVE to watch the Gargantia OVA's, but if I do want to watch them, I have to go about illegitimate means to do so.
Even if there was a small delay, I'd really like these companies to stop withholding this stuff from simulcast availability, because that's about the 'only' means I can get that stuff legitimately. I'm not gonna drop 60 bucks on a bluray for one episode I will watch 'once'.
I mean hell, at least Bandai has the decency to offer 5 buck rentals for the Unicorn OVA's and those are typically an hour long. Sure wouldn't hurt for those companies to maybe adopt a similar policy with the OVA/DVD only episodes.

$400 USD? The BDs are around ¥6000 JPY a piece. After international shipping and everything you're looking at spending about $600 USD for both cours. If you are talking about the American branch of the company, I think it will be in the $300 area. Two sets @ $150 each if they do a BD. It isn't as popular as Sword Art Online. I don't think there are enough fans out there to get money from.

@Penguintruth
Don't you have better thing to do than making sarcastic remark on anything Aniplex or Bandai visual or Japanese import in general?
@Kyogissun
Different company, different strategy.
If you going to watch anime just once, then why bother spending $40 or $400 on buying discs from (put anime company here)? Isn't it smarter to just watch from stream or torrents once and save money for something else?

Are you kidding me?
This show is arguably THE hottest show of 2013 and it's only half-way through airing!

"Arguably" is doing an awful lot of work in that statement.
