Detroit is pretty close. I might be able to make that one. Or, just get the DVDs first. Or both.

Actually this is screening here where I live in Greensboro, NC at the local theater called Carousel. I saw Summer Wars there too back in early January. They have anime films on occasion but the entire theater is based in more independent and foreign films. I'm hoping to go see Eva 2.0 for the second time but this time on a big screen. They usually close off one of the smaller rooms and bring in a bunch of nice leather chairs and sofas. You can fit maybe 30 people max in the room but not many come any way so it's almost like a personal screening

My theater was nowhere near that luxurious, but it was an indie/foreign film theater as well. It was cool to see it on the big screened but it the sound system couldn't really do the movie justice (any movie that needs bass and top end, really), the seats were mostly busted up and I think they used a DVD version because it looked pixelated.

Nice! The Brattle over in Harvard Square is getting this one too. I saw the first one over there. On the downside it's a very very small arthouse theater, which may not serve this film as well as others they show. On the plus side they have the most delicious popcorn, with real butter even if you so choose, and also serve beer. So it was nice to be able to drink along with Misato on screen.

I kind of wish I was into eva. At first I was like "where the hell is Oaks cinema?" Of all the places to have it in pittsburgh I was expecting loew's theater or the cinemark, then I click the link and notice, that Oaks cinema is the small little theater that is literally down the street from my apartment. I might just go see it due to the sheer convenience.
EDIT: Lol and I'm so surprised I didn't notice before but there's typo in the title. Pittsburgh is spelled with an "h" ANN. People in the burgh wouldn't be too happy with you for that one especially considering the abbreviation for pittsburgh is pgh

Alright, and Pittsburgh gets another movie I want to see! Just hope I'll be able to get out to that theater. Was hoping it'd be in the same theater as Summer Wars. Ah well, can't have everything.

Hope that Detroit does get the movie. The Burton is listing their showing as Eva 1.0. That seems odd to me, but there you go...unless it becomes a double-feature...
