The comic doesn't enlarge when you click on it. It takes you to a lost page.
Cute though! The little hat reminded me of Sacred Blacksmith - although I know that show isn't Goth. As always, I enjoyed the strip. Thanks!

I only recall seeing those tiny hats in two shows: Rozen Maiden and Gosick.

What do you call a fashion fad that's been going on for 10 years?

It was also in Code Geass, where C.C wore it for an episode.
Personally I never got the tiny hats, it's the kind of thing idiots put on Chimpanzee.

What about K-On? One was prominently featured in the "Don't Say Lazy" ending video of S1.

One of the girls in the rather-obscure Saint October wears such a hat in her transformed state. And if you ever want Gothic Lolita overload, look no further than that show -- they have a "Goth Loli Detective Agency," and transform into a goth-loli-dressing Sentai/Magical Girl squad consisting of Loli Black, Loli White, and Loli Red.

I've never been a fan of the tiny top hats, but as someone who's been active in her local Lolita community for a while now, Nina's whole outfit kind of makes me cringe.

Such a shame Robin didn't give us fans a full frame of Nina in her outfit. Perhaps she'll be really, really, really nice and draw one on the side for us, pretty please?
There's no such thing as "too much" goth loli.
It would be like saying there's too much kitten or puppy.
Though, I'm curious to what fueled the strip's topic. I've not seen anyone complain about them (just loli in general) and it's not as though they're everywhere in anime.
@Zalis116:
Thank you for the tip!

Why?! What was wrong with it? I was only recently introduced to the whole Lolita fashion concept (while being aware of its existence for a while but not following up on anything) but I'm finding I'm more partial to Punk Lolita and Wa Lolita

As a newbie Lolita, I kind of cringed, too... mostly due to Kevin's comments, which I don't think were supposed to be accurate, (lolita isn't trying to look sexy, for example). But yeah...
