I'd love to go to each of those locations, but sadly I have neither the money nor the time to go to Japan.. maybe someday...
I was really shocked when I read that the model town of Kannagi was one of(if not the most) severely affected by the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake and the following tsunami.. Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture

This sounds right up my alley. I'm looking forward to a lot of the shrines and historical sites when my vaycay gets underway but I'll not lie: otaku-dom is where my interest began.
