I was just thinking this might be a good topic for the weekend
how old were you when you first read or watched anime /manga? Myself, i was about eight or nine watching evangelion by accident, but i didn't know what it was. I was about ten when i really got into anime and 12 when i got into manga. |

The first anime i saw was salior moon when i was 5. but i don't like it now.At the same age i started watching Pokemon mistaking it for salior moon.

hmmm. it seems that most people here experienced their first anime at below double digits.

well, to be technical, it was when i was probably about 7 or 8. i'm not really sure, since that was like 20 years ago. i was watching shows like Voltron, G-Force, Transformers, etc back in the 1980s, and i had no idea they were anime or that there was such a thing as anime.
flashforward to about 6 years ago, when i'm about 21 or 22, and i'm watching Akira, Vampire Hunter D, etc. on Scifi Channel's Saturday Anime. that was my first, when i then knew about anime, and i've been watching anime ever since |

Although not EXACTLY the same as this thread on first anime seen, this is close enough to it that I'd prefer if we simply merge the two together.
