It won't be, since Funimation has not even hinted at what their actual official July release slate will be. Their 'official' schedule is only published up to April so far. RS grabs anything they can out of planning meetings, or things the product managers say are in the works and might be coming out at such and such a time, and posts them to the store knowing they can just change them around later if they don't actually end up on the 'official' schedule. So just because it shows up on RS's site doesn't mean they actually know when, or if, it's coming out. Last fall they posted the 3 GITS movies on BluRay for pre-order and listed them streeting in December 2010. Who ever they got that info from was totally wrong as MV, to date, has never actually done a release card for them. Being first always seems to trump being right these days. Bottom line, until it goes on the 'official' release schedule, it's a moving target at best. Of course, being on the official list doesn't seem to mean that much lately either - does it? Yeah, Funi has started to become what Media Blasters was last year with respect to delays (MB seems to have gotten its act together so far this year). I don't worry so much with Funi because it's big enough that I don't read too much into delays. With a shakier company like MB, delays can take on a more ominous meaning. Anyway, a drag for me, because I want Rosario + Vampire, but I'm waiting for the complete collection to come out first. The longer it takes for the initial run to come out, obviously the longer it will take to get the cheaper complete collection.

The R + V bundle is still $75. At some point in the future, a complete collection will be selling for about $37.49 at TRSI. The two season sets will probably sell for $14.99 each at some point (after a complete collection comes out). That's the kind of cheap I'm talking about.

July round-up of what's known so far minus the oddball Vexille BD listings (may still be preliminary, especially the release dates...it's too unbalanced right now).
Amazon.com updated the listings on the DVD / Blu-ray labels. One Piece: Collection 1 has a running time of 650 minutes. If accurate, it's likely a bigger collection of what has been released already (starting with Season 1). EDIT: Amazon.com is switching back and forth on BD / DVD combo to DVD re-release. They have said they had more news in the near future earlier this year, but nothing more was said about it. Maybe they will say something more during Anime Boston / Sakura-Con. |

Well going after Strike Witches combo. I might be tempted to get the OP set and sell my other sets since I want to get OP
If the Shin-chan thing is true, I am going after it. I love shin chan so I always want more of it. The Soul Eater BD's are on my mind, but I need to wait until I see what the BD quality is. |

Well, if they are re-releasing One Piece, it's a worrying sign that they are going into milking the series mode which casts a doubt about them licensing the series any further. I hope I'm just being paranoid and they announce a license to season 4 soon.

They could use the profits they make from these bigger box sets to help produce the 4th season. This could just be another case of Sgt Frog or Shin Chan.

I really need to stop coming to these threads. All these do is dash my hopes and reinforce how tediously slow the one-at-a-time VA process really is.
