I am looking for anime shows that fall into the genres of Comedy , Romance , Adventure , and Supernatural. Preferably all in one , but if anything Comedy and Romance. I have seen such shows as, Karin, Neon Genisis Evangelion, and Inuyasha. I don't mind if the shows are in Japanies, as long as there is English subtitles, preferably English though. I am open to all suggestions.

You might like these two:
Fushigi Yugi - This is about Mika Yuki and her friend Yui Hongo who go to the National Library, wind up in the rare book room reading a book and somehow both are sucked into the book. Yui makes it out of the book and for about 1/3 of the story is in a way the Narrator (the other 2/3s is Mika's brother, Keisuke). Mika stays behind and becomes the Priestess of Suzaku, who must make 3 wishes, hopefully using them to save the country against the evil clutches of another country. Part of the first half is Mika looking for and finding the Warriors to help her make the three wishes. The second half is much darker. Yui re-enters the book, becomes the Priestess for the enemy, becomes Mika's enemy, etc...Mika and her crew have to go against Yui and her group to get magical objects to help them summon the Gods because of problems in the first half of the story. It's very good, there is humor throughout, but there is also murder, rape and betrayals. Tissue recommended. Ceres - Which was originated by the same Manga-ka as FY (Yuu Watase). This is about Aya Mikage. She turns 16 and her life goes to hell. She finds out that she has a seperate being inside of her who can take over her body and morph it. The being, Ceres, has a serious hatred for the Mikage family especially Aya's twin Aki, who has some serious...emotional/physical feelings towards Ceres and Aya. There is also Toya, Aya's love of her life, who also has his own issues towards the Mikage and Aya. Again, very good, humorous (you may like Alex Howell - anime fan boy ), there is also murder, rape and betrayals of family and trust. Tissue recommended also. Both of these titles have anime and manga both of which are completely out so if you want you can get it all at once if you like. Also try here:animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21419 |

You might like:
Tsubasa Chronicle, it's got everything your asking for.... unfortunately, its being released by season, and its only on season two in japan... which means you'll have to wait at least a year or two before you can finish it.... It's fundamentally a romance, it takes you through various dimensions in which a group of strangers must travel together ... I know my description isn't that good, but the impact of the first episode is really strong. I also second Ceres, Celestial legend... it really is a great emotional, touching, and interesting show.... not that much adventure in this one, but three out of four ain't bad ... The descriptions right above this, so I'll just leave it at that.... |

Ah! My Goddess - Its about a college guy named keiichi who acidently calls a goddess hotline then a goddes named belldandy comes through a mirror to grant him a wish and he wished for her to stay with him forever. (sorry i didn't go to much into to the details about it but this show is funny, romantic, and supernatural) (its funiest when her sisters (both goddess) and a demon show up) theres five volumes out already and one coming out (i think) this month
Mouse - (mouse is short with only 12 episodes but funny) its about a guy who is a thief known as mouse and a group of girls who serve him and help him with his work as mouse (sorry i didn't go to much into to the details about this show ether but this show is funny and has alot of fanservice based humor) (i only have the second volume so i don't know much about the first half) |

Hm, have you tried any of the Tenchi Muyo series? You might like those. They're harem series (a guy surrounded by a lot of girls), so they're funny and they have some romance--nothing heavy, though--just light-hearted romance. Aside from that, they also have action plotlines, so you might call that "adventure". The comedy and romance stuff is more on the side of the actual plot. So, all in all, I think you may like that one. Give it a try. I'd say start with Tench Muyo OVA because thats the shortest and cheapest of the series (since it's oldest), and a lot of people seem to think that one was the best of all 4.
