Hm, do you have to pay for FB apps (Other than pixels to "enhance" the game with new "items")? If not, I might fill in a Facebook account with fake details and give this a go. It might not be good, but I might as well try in case it is.

iOS, Android, Facebook, I have none of these things, nor do I want them.
Whatever happened to just putting things on a website? Why Facebook, why not just put it on FMA.com?

Because the Future Media Architects got the domain first?

I didn't actually mean that site specifically, I just meant put it on some official website. Why make it so you have to be on Facebook to play? That seems like more of a hindrance than a benefit.

It's more of a pain to navigate to another site to play than being able to play on your phone, Facebook, etc. (Yes, these little things stop people.) It'll also get more exposure on Facebook from the huge amount of users it has and the power of their word of [electronic] mouth.

I think a majority may disagree on that.
As for myself, Android all the way. I will be getting this for my new HTC Sense.

Because playing on Facebook means you can play the game with all your networked friends... More interactive.
I still don't play Facebook games, though.

I'm not familiar with Facebook coding, but does facebook cover or sell the server and domain space? Because if so, there is your answer (as that way saves them a lot of money on keeping the site up, along with finding potential customers quickly)
