My library has like 20+ volumes of this series, doesn't strike me as interesting because, well, I don't have an infatuation with fast cars like most stereotypical young men. Anyone who's read this can give a yay or nay if it's worth reading?

Word, thanks, altho I did already check that page. I tend to be wary about these user ratings tho when so few people have submitted them. (only 33 user ratings prolly lead to bias ratings) Then again I could just read the series myself and see if I like it. ![]() |

Well I am a car person and I enjoyed it. It actually does explain alot about driving and isnt just all fantasy. The sub plots are fun and some are just creepy(teen prostitution...although I think that is not edited out but the translation skips around it..)

Well if you don't hate cars, initial D might get you interested in street racing (or at least buy a rice rocket). It's more about the "techique" than the actual car. Why not give the first 2 volume a try and see if you like it or not.
The manga is addicting, and while the art is a little odd at times, it gets a lot better as the series progresses. |
