Wah...after the release of the 3rd special..there will be a series??!!!
Sorry for those who like Shun & Tomoka on S1 and 2....I prefer this new casting better. Will be this around a year or so before Shinichi became Conan???? |

Huh, first Ouran High School Host Club live-action is announced and now a series for live-action Detective Conan (well...Detective Shin'ichi, really). Not gonna lie, I think this is awesome, but I am waaaaaaay too easily amused by anime live-action adaptations.

No offense, as crazy as I am about Detective Conan, this looks really stupid. =/ The franchise needs to just end already.
There's like 600+ episodes now, which have been coming out since 1996. How the heck are they going to adapt all of that in a TV series?! I hope the manga ends soon. |

If you had read the article you would know the Live Action version would be set before the events in the manga so the main character is going to be teenaged. The adaption is just using the DC name and characters but the stories should be original.
Any particular reason other than it's ongoing? |

I saw part of the special and it's far enough from the original series where you could just pretend it's an entirely unrelated series.
The only things that are similar are the names, Detective Mouri's behavior and relationship with his wife, and the overly complicated ways people are murdered. |

Ah, that stinks. It'll just be a regular young Sherlock, Hardy Boys, or Nancy Drew then.
