How do you think that the GI Joe series has changed since the original to GI Joe Sigma 6? Do you think it has changed for better of for worse?

I'm thinking for the best. Reasons being that the animation has became better, and the combat techniques have changed dramitically! For example, the battle with Snake Eyes and his brother actually reminded me of Ryu and Ken's battles on Street Fighter II the animated movie and the Manga series. Not only that, but the series doesn't seem to be to be a bit childish like it used to be. I would like to see a Sigma 6 Anime Movie, that would be crazy! Very Happy

From a broadcasting standpoint, G.I. Joe Sigma Six is not considered anime because it was created mainly for the Western audience. However, Anime News Network's Encyclopedia does have the series listed in their "not anime but related" section for one major reason: the series was produced by Studio Gonzo, and last I checked, Gonzo is based in Japan. Hasbro struck a deal with both 4Kids and Gonzo to produce the series strickly for the North American market; I don't believe that Sigma Six will air in Japan, but the series was produced in Japan - just look at the entry.

To answer the other part of the post- I've only seen a few episodes of Sigma Six but I will say that in terms of intensity, character designs, and story, it's certainly better than the campy series I grew up watching in the mid-80's. Cool

HA-HA! I laugh at your petty statement! Listen...drawing style does NOT NOT NOT make a show anime...G.I. Joe Sigma 6, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Cody Lyoko prove this. They are just shows that try to be anime, in which most of them really fail at. The Boondocks is another one, but thanks to the beatiful animation, I actually thought that it was created in Japan. Sure, the drawling essence does in fact make an anime anime, but I'd say it have to originate from Japan to call it an anime, prove me wrong if you will (and I intend to be proven wrong by someone who knows what they are talking about). But just because they were made in America with an anime style of animation doesn't mean it sucks, I like the Boondocks and the animation because it looks so much like what you'll find on airwaves in Japan. However, when an anime tries to make people think its anime by making the characters lips move WAY off from the spoken dialouge on purpose JUST to get people to think it came from Japan (CoughCODELYOKOcough) that is getting stupid and dumb...

Rolling Eyes So people "think" it came from Japan? Rolling Eyes

So GI Joe Sigma 6 was created in Japan for North American purposes? Or did I mis-interpret the previous statements? Isn't this the situation with Afro Samurai?
