I'm putting together a SUPER ANIME QUIZ. But I need more general questions, and fewer based on the Anime I have seen.

So give me a hand, please????????

Well, first of all, what's the anime that you've seen? And then you might be able to get some ideas and hints.

Well that's hard to say, because I've seen a good deal. But some not ENOUGH to make good trivia questions. Okay the Anime I've watched most are:

Pokemon

Digimon

.hack//SIGN

MADLAX

Frutis Basket

Card Captor Sakura

Evangellion

and
Naruto

Now I've tried to be very general with my questions, so I've managed to feature some:

Naruto

One Cowboy Bebop, and that is not so much about the Anime as it is the Movie's Certification

Some Miyazaki Q's and A's

some Evangellion

One or Two Full Metal (I would like a few more, as this seems to be the most poupar)

one or two InuYasha

and some Cast/Crew Trivia

Well, if you posted a list of the questions or a link to the questions you already have it would be appreciated.

Well, a good way to start browsing for questions, would be by looking through ANN's encylopedia. ANN was nice enough to include little trivia tidbits on seires (if they were provided). So that would be a good place to start.

I'm curious, why make an anime quiz? I'm not sure if bias is the right word (I'm speaking in the statistical sense), but something tells me it would be very difficult to make a good anime quiz. I would think for a proper anime quiz, you would have to include series that were significant to the medium. Let's say for example you have a 20 question quiz, and someone has gone through several anime from the 70's/early 80's, then is it really fair if a large amount (let's say 6 or 7 questions) consisted of a series such as Hellsing or InuYasha? Not saying it would be wrong to have questions from those series in there, but you gotta factor in how many questions you want on them, what series are asked about (and how they are significant for that matter). If someone's seen 300 someodd titles, and you ask about only current shows (which maybe they skipped) does that mean they're not very knowledgable on anime? To me there are just too many factors that would prevent any type of quiz for this medium to really show anything concrete.

Simple Because I want to. Rolling Eyes

Okay okay, yeah I'm a nerd, I have an Anime Club, happy?

How would it make me biased to make a quiz? This isn't about making people look like idiots, it's about who can rack up the most points and win the grand prize

Hey we're all nerds here to one degree or another and I wasn't saying you neccessarily would be bias. Here's an anaolgy, two people pass Algebra II, one moves on to Pre-Calculus and the other to Statistics. Now if you give them a math quiz centering around Pre-Calculus, that doesn't neccessarily mean one is better at math than the other. Nothing wrong with making one, but if it's to "rack up points" then surely someone who has seen what you decide to ask about will have an edge over someone who's only seen a few. Besides what types of questions are you looking for? Plot? Trivia? Cause it could be something as simple as "What type of demon was sealed inside Naruto?" or "Who's the manga-ka of (insert manga here)" or some more obscure knowledge such as "Which Japanese seiyuu from Gundam SEED Destiny also sang the opening to RahXephon?" or "What series had the biggest influence on Neon Genesis Evangelion?" I was just saying that things can get difficult and there are a lot of variables. What is the grand prize anyway?

If you have an Anime Club it would be best to 1) stick with questions from series that you know your members have seen, or 2) find questions for mainstream anime titles if you want to test the knowledge of your members to see what they have seen that you are not aware of.

Haha, hillarious!!
Seriously though, give us some of the other questions so we see what you are getting at, otherwise we may have questions like....

Who was the director of Ghost in the Shell the movie

or questions like...

In Episode 3 of Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, Hayashimizu-sempai and the FMP cast are at the beach. How many different books does Hayashimizu-sempai read, and what are their names?

what is the level of difficulty? what is the answer block, is it a fill in (where people write the answer)? Or is it multiple choice? be as specific as possible so that we can help you out. Oh, and if you want the answers to my questions I've got them... haha

What, that's it? That doesn't sound like "a good deal" to me; I have almost 400 series in my “My Anime” collection here on ANN. You should be more educated about what you're attempting to "quiz" people on and see many anime from all sorts of different genres. You can rent an amazing amount of anime from your local library for a dollar per DVD, so start there. I just finished watching all of Noir and Azumanga Daioh these past few months for a grand total of $14.
