I saw a whole shelf full of Fullmetal Alchemist "energy drinks" at Hot Topic the other day. I have to wonder, how do these things taste? I know they sell "It's Happy Bunny" energy drinks at Claire's, and a friend of mine bought one and said was basically 10 dollar sugar water. Can anyone who's ever tried one comment?

Just so long as it doesn't taste like Hello Kitty Whiz!
Is there any hint on the list of ingredients? Or is it all artificial flavors? Kohi o, now that's my energy drink.

I think that it's all the same product... the FMA, Bunnies, and they even have some that say "White Trash Energy Drink". It's probably just one company who sticks these different stickers on their cans full of water and sugar and put them in stores for idiots to purchase.

I couldn't find a product listing page for it on the Hot Topic website, or anywhere else on the web, so I can't list the ingredients.
I've also seen Johnny Depp and Bratz juice, too.

They should make Gantz, Elfen Lied and Samurai Gun cola. When you drink it, you yell the F-word over and over!

^Well, in the Japanese version of Gantz they do have lots of characters cursing in English, offen poorly and somewhat misplaced too, but that's beside the point.
As for the FMA drink, my guess is it's disgusting, like most energy drinks out there, but I haven't sampled it and could be wrong. |

Anyway, I bet the drink isn't any good. But I'm tempted to buy one just so I can have the can. 
Didn't Square-Enix make a 'Potion' energy drink based off of their FF series in Japan? |

Yeah, but having seen it and liking it aren't necessarily synonymous unfortunately. I watched all the way trough in hopes it would redeem itself and out of morbid curiousity. It was way too mean-spirited and fatalistic for me and the ending sucked. Conversely, I loved Elfen Lied though even though it's just as violent. |

Yeah but I think it's only being sold in Japan. I can't see too much of a market for it here. Where would they sell it? The japanese could probably get away with selling it in supermarkets and maybe even 7-11's but here, I don't think even Hot Topic (i.e soulless conglomerate where all who enter deserve to have their names written in the Death Note) would touch it. Anything game related that they would sell is usually Nintendo and or 8-Bit related stuff. |
