I enojyed BGC2040- it started a little slow, but by the third disc is was totally kicking. If you're willing to follow the release of a title, RahXephon is simply awesome.

Technically, you're supposed to look at the sticky thread at the top, and this thread may be closed soon, but I'll answer you right now while everyone else is concerned with other matters.

Each of these shows is a bit different, so I'll just go series by series.

Kenshin- Saiyuki, Arc the Lad (I think), and Inu Yasha are what come to mind here. There's another series, but I can't think of it off the top of my head right now. It's of the same vintage as Kenshin.....

Berserk- Amon Saga, Y's, Vampire Hunter D or Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (kind of outside them, but similar at the same time), Ninja Scroll

Evangelion- Rahxephon, Argentosoma, Brain Powerd

Hellsing- Witch Hunter Robin (wait a bit on this one, it was just licensed)

Cowboy Bebop- Trigun, Licensed by Royalty (just licensed), Noir, Gunsmith Cats, anything by Leiji Matsumoto that deals with the Harlock universe (Queen Emeraldas and Harlock Saga are good starting points)

Good Comedies: Ah! My Goddess OAVs, Tenchi Muyo OAV's, Ai Yori Aoshi, Chobits, Urasei Yatsura (Those Obnoxious Aliens), Ranma 1/2, All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, Excel Saga, Onegai Teacher, Video Girl AI, and Project A-ko.

Enjoy.
