I know the last two volumes of the Platinum versions have the Director's Cut episodes 21-24, and so do the Director's Cuts volumes Resurrection and Genesis Reborn. (However the Audio quality is better in Platinum) I saw this guy going on that the last 2 episodes of the original Director's cuts (Ressurection and Genesis Reborn) also had a few animated scenes also from the 2 last funky mindtrip episodes. (Episodes 25-26) But he said the new Platinum volumes didn't include the new animated scenes of episode 25 and 26. Is this true? And do these others scenes of the last episodes even exist? Because I know he coulda been quite mistaken.

I say this because I have the big Platinum box and platinum volumes 1-3, Vol 5 and 6 of the original releases, the two director's cuts, End of Eva, and Death and Rebirth. Yes its quite the Frakenstein collection of Eva, but I have eps 1-26, the director's cuts, and the movies. I got this all back in December 04' when only 3 Platinum volumes were out, I had the money and I wanted to see the entire series so I improvised =P Anyways, my OCD is getting the better of me now so I wanna replace all the other 4 DVDs with the platinum ones and make it all perfect, but the fact those scenes might not be in the platinum edition is kinda discouraging.

So answers?

P.S. The Platinums all have 5.1 sound (Which is nice), commentary and such, and its all tempting. The Directpr's cut have some live-action Eva preview (Wont really miss that) and If I get the platinums, I'll trade in my other volumes to help pay for the new ones and thats why Im asking this all =P

this thread helps explain the DC versions of 25 and 26 animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20402 The 5.1 and remastering is really good as you know from the first 3 volumes, so I would recommend you buying the rest of the Platinum discs and from what is mentioned you aren't really missing anything from 25-26 by "upgrading" your collection to all Platinum.
