I really like that they did that, released a thank you.

I like how they say that, the fact that they look at this website and polls makes me feel like they really are a company built by fans, for fans, as they said.

Good job he doesn't read some of the other comments about their dubs that have been posted here.

Bah, they're a minority compared to the number of users who never posted in this forums.

Heh. I remember when AnimEigo was the end-all and be-all and ADV was the anime antichrist. I got so much crap on r.a.a for defending them way back when.

Now I'd like Anime News Network to do a MANGA rating poll, and see if ADV would post the results of that on their website.

It's obvious that manga isn't ADV's main focus. Companies like Viz and Tokyopop are much more prolific English manga producing companies than ADV will probably ever be. It's also worth noting that this is the second consecutive year that ANN has run this poll and the second consecutive year that ADV has taken the top spot in all three categories.

Whaaaaa--? Geneon got jacked! They should've won.
Still, though, it was very magnanimous of them. It's stuff like that that really reminds me how close they are to their fans.

I personally voted for FUNimation, I really like their dubs.. but I would've voted for ADV a close second if I could.

They'll write a press release about anything these days.
I can't figure out if this is exploitation or giving street cred to ANN.

ADV starting off the year with a big head. They better not defate it by the year's end.

Sadly, I can already hear "Where are they now?" for AnimEigo now. AnimEigo's "last" anime series is almost out, and the only they got left is samurai movies, unless they start to pick up some new series. They should atleast pick up Season 2 of YUA TV.

It certainly cant hurt that they're the Microsoft of anime, swallowing up just about every anime property under the sun.
Not that that's totally a bad thing, consdering they got Azumanga Daioh.
