i just wish that more people got involved in the posts. this is only my 2nd day on here posting and replying and it seems to me that the same 20 people are the only ones who talk on here. that is a lil sad to me but wth i love the info and how helpfuly the few people are

Yeah, there is a ton of people that use this board, from trolling to people that don't like the other anime boards, which includes me. I'm pretty sure a big clump of the users either look around, throwing their 2 cents here and there and the other just adding to the Encyclopeida. I've been on this board since it reopened back in 2001, tons of people have came and gone, while others who posted alot back then doesn't post a great deal like then (Cookie, Tenchi, Lord B.) Yeah, it's your 2nd day and you'll notice some post more then should (people know who), but after a couple of years, there is more then the same 20 or so, but the same 100 or so.

It moves at a decent pace, but there are certainly more fast paced boards out there. I don't mind it though, makes it easier to follow multiple threads at once without devoting a significant amount of time to it.
There's a good number of people though, it's just they're not always around. Some people are here daily, some pop in now and then and others seem to have post or reply in small bursts and then lay dormant awhile. I thought it was a tad slow at first too, of course I was used to the IGN forums which often move at a very fast rate but I find the pace here quite comfortable now. |

I guess it would be nice if more people responded to the threads, but you should assume for every 1 smart person that responds, 3 dumb ones will respond. Since those who are on the forum now actually know what they are talking about, I don't mind the limited response. However, the large number of views at least shows interest among non-talkative members.

I really like this board and the people on it, I know some of them from elsewhere. Also it's one of the better boards I go to with the least ammount of stupidity/spamming/trolling and the like. Most people can actually type a decent sentence and hold a conversation as well.

It is also most of your topics are mostly personal anime recommendation type of threads...(like asking what type of animes people recommend)
the ones that get the most replies (and the most vicious fighting) are the ones with controversial issues likes the whole fansub and dub legal type of issues, etc. (i don't recommend making another one because it gets pretty ugly) finding a unique and a good topic will get more responses.. |

When you have found or made an avitar of acceptable size 80X80 click the "Profile" link on the right bar and scroll down to the "Avitar Conrol Panel". --> You can upload it directly or provide a link to an image hosting site like photobucket. |

I notice a lot of people are logged on to but I think they all hang out in the talkback section because sometimes the "online stats" says "30 people browsing website" and when I go in the anime section, it says "2 people browsing this section". Some people like manga better than anime so I suggest you get acquainted with all the other sections before you jump to conclusions about the same people posting.

I came to this site once Gaiaonline.com annoyed the crap out of me. It was way too fast-paced and honestly, it was hard for the moderators to kill threads that were just.... stupid. So that's why I'm here now, it seems easier and I don't have to go through 30 n00bs just to get a decent answer to a question I posted.
The good thing about this site, (most) people know what they are talking about and I find it much more interesting than talking to people who don't know how to spell correctly. Sorry if I'm insulting anyone, but it just really gets on my nerves trying to translate some post. I haven't really seen anything like that here, before, though. |

Ironically I've found that the chat room on here typically moves slower then the forum. You can have long periods of time with no one saying anything. |

Hey this is my second day here too
I don't know about everyone else but this is not the only site I post on. I have a whole folder in my favorites list with sites. Whenever I come on the internet I go on each site and check the forums....they range too....forums about anime, music, games, tv (a little), final fantasy xi .
But yea point is sometimes I stay on one website for that day because I'm having an interesting conversation...I'm guessing alot of people here do the same thing |

What bothers me the most on this board is that people visit it so irregular. There are ALOT of forum posters, a real crapload, but most of them post once in a blue moon.
