Monica Rial as Misa?!
That aside, the rest of the cast looks pretty good. Is anybody even surprised they casted Brett Weaver as Roy?

I had hoped that Chris Patton would get to be Max.
And I'm glad to see that most of my favourites are in here, too. Is it getting a Box set or will it have individual Volumes first?

Are we supposed to be?
He's what Gai Daigouji parodies, after all.

Watch Burst Angel, she plays Jo in that and, the roles are rather simular.

Yes, seeing how Robotech was dubbed back in the 80s' and this dubbing is getting dubbed now.

I wonder if any of the old Robotech VAs know about this. They'll probably hate ADV for life now.

...honestly, Starwind, do you just find stupid, negative crap to Post no matter how far-fetched and pointless it is?

I doubt it. The cast of characters are probably busy with Choronicles anyways to be bothering with show that probably seems too famalier to them. But that's just my opinion...you could try asking at robotech.com forums and see if you get an answer from the staff there who might have something worth saying about the old Robotech VAs(I doubt it though).

How is it stupid? What's your problem? I'm not spamming the boards like SOME people. If you don't like what I say (for whatever nonsense reason), deal with it (as in, DON'T READ IT).

Anyone else just hear the pot call the kettle black? Starwind, with all the backseat moderating you do, I wouldn't be one to go around pointing fingers at others for spamming.
The thread gets back on topic now.

Overall, I believe this to be good all-around...however, I've never watched Macross: just Robotech. For what it's worth, I can't say the choices here don't "fit in" with what I would expect based on that semblance of prior experience with the title.
Brett Weaver as Roy Focker sort of took me by surprise a bit...I find it hard to equate Nabeshin with Roy, though I laugh to myself when I do. Then again, I don't think I've ever heard Weaver in a dramatic role in comparison to Nabeshin or Carrot Glace, so I have absolutely no room to talk...it'll be interesting. I also found it somewhat interesting that Chris Patton got Max Jenius, though, seeing as he's apparently got this deep voice, and it seems that Patton'll have to hit those lower registers more often than usual for this role.
I really look forward to this. I've got the Legacy set for the Macross portion of Robotech, but I've been anticipating an English Macross for years. I just hope that, if they do commentaries for these discs, that ADV take pains to do a better job with them than they have in the past.
