It's called exercising the platform dear boy. Some day the squatters will be evicted and we all will be getting our anime fixes by direct injection from the rightful owners so keep your credit card details up to date.

Generally their licenses are for home video and maybe TV. And they are allowed to promote their products in other mediums.
They usually aren't allowed to release entire episodes online.
Tha Japanese don't like that (see the Ken Groove / Nutech lawsuit).
Personally, I think putting a first episode online would be a great idea.... some companies have done it in some cases. I don't know if ADV would do it if they were able to though...

I think it was streaming at Amazon.com or something. And considering that the episodes are "half" length, it really wasn't much.

I think it's great that ADV are doing this and it's certainly reaching new audiences as I've not seen any of these shows before but I'm going to download them all. Though it would have been nice if they actually added what the anime was about on the page or atleast a link to find out more.

Trailers Grant. Short samples of various titles available in their catalogue.

That's it, just trailers?....sounds unexciting to me
Then again I don't buy ADV DVDs anymore....at least until I become a VA for them
