So I pre-ordered Birdy the Mighty: Decode S.A.V.E. DVD and Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom S.A.V.E. Blu Ray before they were released, but apparently I was low on the waiting list because they were both out of stock as soon as they was released (early June) and I wasn't shipped either. Now it's August and every outlet on the site has restocked their supply EXCEPT the one I apparently placed my order with (buy.com); which has listed both titles as 'on order' since they day of their release.

A similar incident happened to me recently with Gankutsuou, but Rakuten periodically sent me emails that they were working to get their supply replenished and if I wanted to cancel my order, I could at any time, which I eventually ended up doing without a problem (I've received similar emails in the past regarding orders I placed while some titles were out of stock, but I always received my items relatively quickly and/or had the option to cancel my order in my order history). However, it's been two months and I haven't received a single email about the status of either order, nor do I have the option to cancel on my account's order history (the status for both says 'processing,' as it has since the day I pre-ordered).

So how do get in touch with the retailer I ordered from and get my order canceled?

Perhaps a dumb question, but have you checked your spam folder lately? Maybe Rakuten(or Buy.com...whatever) aren't in your contact list, and you're not seeing any order updates because of this.

Some online retailers don't require you to have an account to make purchases. But you need an account to manage those purchases online. Are you sure you created one? That's probably another dumb question, but I've never come across a site that doesn't let you cancel orders online. Unless those items are actually being processed at the time of such a request.
