Hi.
I just want to know what is happening with fanzines outside my country. In Chile, (i'm always talking about fanzines about anime news or comic/manga publishing) fanzines ceased working in 1998 aprox. From that time to now, e-zines practically replaced the fanzines, they are almost extinct now. Anyway, now in 2005, the hobby of making fanzines is resurrecting among fans but it's doing it sloooowly, maybe their disappearance is imminent.. that's sad.
In Japan, the story is absolutely different, the comiket has every time more public and success.

¿what happens in your country with fanzines?
¿do you consider them "old-fashioned" or prehistoric?
¿do you think fanzines have something e-zines don't?
if no ¿could you pay for something you can get for free on the internet?
¿do you think that it'll be sad if fanzines die forever?

ps: as always, sorry for my english, i'm spanish-talker.
