Sounds really cool, though I would only be interested in the print publications.

According to this Tweet from Deb Aoki it DOES! https://twitter.com/debaoki/status/352946352206012416 Oh man, this is awesome. Of course I'd prefer print, but wow! |

Give us some Black Jack, my favorite of Tezuka's works!

Somehow you aren't aware that Black Jack has been available for years by Vertical? |

Certain volumes are out of print and very hard to get now though. But yes it has been out for years and I was much too late to the party! |

I'd much rather own them all in print, but if the titles will be available for download like DMP's other titles rather then just an online reader, I can certainly live with that.

I'm all for everything Tezuka being published here but I'm really not into purchasing manga from DMP/Ect, especially when digital is the priority. I know Vertical's always been risking their own financial well-being with Tezuka and other old titles but they always put so much care into translating them.
I guess I'll have to check this out depending on which titles get announced. Rainbow Parakeet might make me change my opinion... |

That's pretty ambitious. Aside from genshiken from NIS and those 2 movies from Funi not much else aside from this has really piqued my interest honestly.

I will be very happy to be able to recommend Phoenix to my manga-aware friends again, pretty much all of whom already have iPads.

Neat. Though I'm curious what digital platforms they are going to bring them out on. Will they team-up with ComiXolgy? Their own site or app?
Hopefully we'll be getting better reproductions of Astro Boy. Dark Horse's version leaves a bit to be desired. |

A member of another forum i mentioned this news to raised a worrying question;
As a UK resident will i be able to purchase these titles, or will they be region locked to the US only? |

The quality is my concern. I've had too many problems with their digital releases. So I don't think I would support digital only even though I buy manga that way. Barbara is apparently very nice in print though, so hopefully they do take better care with titles from well known artists. |

Some of these questions were also answered on Deb Aoki's Twitter feed.
I swear I saw something last night more specifically stating that they will release everything digitally and Kickstart print editions for what they can. Can't find it on her account though, so it must have been somewhere else. |
