I've always loved Ghibli's JP box arts for their blu-rays. I'll wait until the US release next year for this one, though.

I'll be buying this. It's a little disappointing that the English dub won't be on the discs, but that's not a big deal (reverse-import issue, or is the dub just not ready to include?).
While I'll be able to see Arrietty in theaters early next year, the US BD probably won't be out until about a year after the Japanese release. I don't want to wait _that_ long. Disney/Buena Vista moved Ponyo along much more quickly; is the Disney/BV theatrical schedule that busy? Maybe it's the schedules of the actors chosen to do the dubbing... |

Why is it that we've heard almost nothing about this movie, at all, since its conception? It's the most covert Ghibli movie of all time. It is the ninja of Ghibli movies.

It is pretty standard Japanese pricing. Since this is a Japanese release, this shouldn't be all that surprising. Arietty: 4700yen Ponyo: 4700yen Earthsea: 4700yen Howl's: 4700yen etc. |
