Xbox also had some Japanese developers, ever heard of Lost Odyssey, Dark Souls, Agarest War, Blaz Blue, Star Ocean, Resonance of Fate, etc. All made or developed by Japanese developers, hell they even had Japan exclusive games like Don Pachi and Idol Master.
So I don't see how that is much of an announcement.

Yeah, probably multiplatform Capcom and Konami games with the rest being niche VN console ports.

Japanese devs are far too racist to support the ONE.
That's the reason they never preferred the 360 either, racism runs deep in Japan. But the ONE is gonna be shit anyway so it's not like there's much of a loss.

If Microsoft doesn't hurry up and address the concerns of the market regarding the One, there may be no developers on hand for the new console since everyone else will flock to the PS4.
Really a bone-headed move on Microsoft's part. Releasing news of a console that explains nothing.
Gaming sure has changed over the year. For the worse.

Do people really need to be reminded this occured because at the time Xbox 360/microsoft was much more "developer friendly" as far as the technology is concerned at the begining of its cycle, and that those companies asociated with those games listed now try to get ps3 releases due to the nature that Sony is much more Japanese focussed of a company with significantly more consoles out in Japan than Otaku box 360s.
If you think Microsoft is in a hard spot in North America or Europe, it is going to have an even MORE of a difficult time pushing X1 in Japan without something as significant as say "Idolmaster 3 Xbox one exclusive".

What do they need to address? They said it already. All that left is words games to trick naive people.
The "one" focus is no longer games anyway.

All the news coming out about the Xbox One is not good for everyone.
First, Microsoft will not allow independent developers anymore. Second, the whole used games system is one giant mess. And like the first point, you can no longer resell games independently. Even regular B&M retailers will be burdened. They, like everyone else must to go through their cloud system for official licensing and registration for used games. Which brings up the point about constant online connectivity for DRM.
The PS4 is looking much better every day. Not only is the hardware better, but so are the policies as far as what's known.

Japanese developers? Yeah, not many after the bomb that was XBOX360 in Japan. Only an XBOX One exclusive Idolm@ster could save it. And that is not happening.

I for one won't be buying this console. Its already limited in what you can do and you can't play all the Xbox 360 games that you have legitimately purchased and owned, which sounds like corporate abuse to me.
Even if they managed to entice some JP developers, I won't be buying the console anytime soon because most of those games won't be released outside of Japan anyway.

This has nothing to do with "racism" but rather with the fact that the Sony Brand is wholesomely worshiped in Japan just as the "Apple" brand is here in America. It has nothing to do with how they view foreign consoles. They just prefer established brands in their country in the very same way we prefer our established American brands.
They were there before the American companies jumped exported their things to Japan and therefore, have a bigger name recognition than most of those American brands do.

More than likely multi-platform games like Resident Evil and probably Final Fantasy 15. But as far as exclusives go? Unless Microsoft pays out some big money like they did in the early 360 days, I don't think so.. and I think they gave up on that strategy for a reason.

Microsoft would be an even bigger fool than they already are if they try to push the XBone hard in Japan. Their best bet is to just keep going after the jocks are kids with Call of Duty, Madden, FIFA, Halo, etc.

I don't understand why they never started their own studio for J-centric games.

Idolm@ster being xbox exclusive was THE big console pusher for the 360 for most this generation of console as far as Japan is concerned, in practice Microsoft is a US centric company as say Nintendo's concept of pushing its Wii and Wii U have been Japanese focussed.
