Well, they are the only R1 company left that doesn't make a regular habit of delaying titles after they are solicited. As long as it doesn't become a habit like it is for Funimation and Media Blasters, then it's not that big of a deal.

I'm just curious what the reason for the delay is. Perhaps NYAV couldn't get the dub done in time, or there was an issue with the music for the soundtrack CDs.

I'm willing to bet that their QC is on full alert right now, after the Kids on the Slope sound issue.

So, maybe their sample run didn't come in right and it's do-over time.

I was considering that as well, but two months seems like a long time to correct a title that wouldn't have even hit replication yet. It's likely they wouldn't even have a sample yet, and it's equally as likely that the dub is still being finished up.

Of course, smaller companies like Sentai can have some difficulty securing duplication runs when competing with larger home video companies, so it is possible.

That's probably it.
And it's about time too since some of their releases prior to Kids on the Slope had sound issues too.

Does anyone know if they have acquired the original series licence, or does MB have it amongst their collection of licences still? Hard to find the QB Blu-Rays anywhere and I was hoping to pick it up on import to Australia.

Now how's about they delay it forever so I don't have to deal with knowing it exists on my shores.

Or, you know, how about we just ignore you since all you seem to do these days is trash shows you hate? Some of us actually like the franchise and look forward to it.

I do hope the delays means fixing issues. If this comes out with errors, then Sentai has some serious problems that run deep into the company's core.

I'm hoping there are no issues with the Rebellion BDs as well. I'm still trying to find a BD Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin Complete Collection from MB that has a Disc One that will work in my Sony BD player. It's almost hit and miss as to which brand and player that disc will work with. Never encountered a Blu-ray disc that wasn't recognised as media by my player before.

^ THIS!

Seriously, just because he hates it doesn't mean that it should not exist or that the people who like it are bad people. Chagen46 really needs to understand the very simple concept that his OPINION is not law and that it is ok for people to like and enjoy things that he doesn't (additionally, if he could stop lying about being an Otaku, that would be great as well). There's one on every forum.

Anyways, dealing with the topic at hand, I was looking forward to this set coming out in July, but sh!t happens, things get delayed. Could be redoing some of the vocal tracks, remastering/reengineering the sound, I also know they're throwing in the CD soundtrack, not bad in terms of bang for your buck. Not to brag, but I pre-ordered this when it was first listed on rightstuf at $41.99, looks like I saved $11 already.

The only thing that concerns me about this is if they delay it again, Media Blasters was horrible for that. Funimation, well, I've only had one set, and that was Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood part 5, that was delayed one week.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

With any luck, this is just to patch some technicals and it'll be coming out in July without issue.
