Is this the same Phoenix that got mentioned in Fred Schodt's "Dreamland Japan" which is supposed to be Tezuka's "life's work"?

I had the same question myself. I decided to look up Hi no Tori, the Japanese Title of Phoenix and I found a description page that was in french. I also ran it through a lously translator (I don't know French hopefully, somebody on this board does). The description, although cryptic, via bad translation, does seem similar to the one on Viz's press release (it even makes mention of Masato as a main character and the Moopy [Moopee] an extraterristrial race).
Original Page here Rough translation here I can't wait for this manga, I was hoping that it would eventually be translated to English. Since this is considered his life work (see this page under Hi no Tori.) it should be better than his excellent Adolf. btw, Amazon.com said that it will be out in August. |

It is Hi No Tori? Okay, I was trying to make sure of that. If the Viz release is Hi No Tori, then it is the item Fred Schodt was referring to. |
