It's not manga.

If you guys have reviews of Korean comics and movies why are you calling the site ANIME news?

If you're covering Korean comics why not American ones?

I beleive there was a poll some time earlier asking us wether we wanted manwha reviewed here or not. Apparently, manwha got the nod.

We do, to a limited degree, cover what is referred to as "World Manga" this includes manga style comics from countries that aren't japan.

Nonetheless, we focus on the Japanese material. You won't see as many reviews of "world manga" (including Manhwa and OEL) as you will of manga and anime.

It's not called MANGA news either, but you're not complaining about manga reviews.

Is it just me or do Japanophiles seem to be taking it to the next step and ignoring/hating on all things Korean?

It's just you. Wink

The problem is fairness. While South Korea has manwha and animation industries quite well established, there are many other countries around the globe with ever-increasing market of Japan-influenced comic and animation.

For example, right now the only Taiwanese manga ANN has included in Encyclopedia is Vision of the Other Side (虛幻彼方), which has been licensed by DramaQueen for North American release (OMG! DramaQueen has misspelled authors's name!). In addition to that I can't add information in its native language (ok, ok), whether ANN should cover more Japan-influenced comic and animation titles outside Japan is still debatable. IMNSHO there are more Taiwanese manga than Amerimanga out there....
