I am looking for a bounty hunter anime (besides Cowboy Bebop), can anyone recommend a good one? I'd prefer if it lacked hentai but if there's none that don't then it doesn't matter, post the show anyway.

I watched one called Hyper Police. It's okay, but I got rid of it as soon as I watched it.

Check out Black Lagoon and Getbackers. Both shows start off with the main characters doing deeds for money such as bounty hunting. However, both shows only use that to break the ice, very much like Cowboy Bebop uses bounty hunting.

Hm, you might want to check out Trigun. I've never seen it myself, but I hear it's similar to Cowboy Bebop in some senses. Not to mention, it is about bounty hunters.

"Bounty Hunter" anime is a pretty narrow subcategory of action series. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is the OVA series Iria: Zeiram The Animation, where the title character is a young female bounty hunter. It's available in the States in a Collector's Edition.

Hmmm, in a way I supposed Desert Punk might qualify, but he's really more of an all-around mercanary than a true bounty hunter.

No one has mentioned Outlaw Star!

Space, spaceships, cute bio-androids, cat girls, assassins, a space race, female wrestling tournament, CRAZY villains in every sense of the word, and a treasure! Oh, and periodically capturing people to make expenses.

I'm digging up the old posts Smile and seeing if there are more bounty hunter titles that people know of regardless as to when they were created. SO far here is a list of ones from this post. I am interested in doing some research on the history of bounty hunters in anime.

Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Trigun
Black lagoon
Get backers
Iria Zeiram The animation

Although this may look like a recommendation, I would suggest Vampire D: Bloodlust. It is a fusion of horror and American Western with the balance more leaning to the Western. It has its horror elements, but a real vampire film it is not.

@CosmicRage: It may be easier to do a genre search of the encyclopedia for "bounty hunter." Click the encyclopedia tab and you should see the genre link listed under Tools.

However, you can add El Cazador de la Bruja and Daphne in the Brilliant Blue to your list. Bounty hunting isn't the focus of either show, but is a way the main characters support themselves from time to time.

El Cazador is not really a bounty hunter anime. Yes, one of the two protagonists is a bounty hunter, but the protagonists only do anything bounty related in two episodes. They have some run-ins with bounty hunters in a few more of the episodes, but it's still a small fraction of the total. The drive through parts of Mexico doesn't really use much of bounty hunting conventions either.

There's a short sci-fi OVA called Bounty Dog, which was pretty good.

Since no one's mentioned it, Gunsmith Cats. If you're willing to go older, Riding Bean was a cool OVA.
