does hack gift have anything to do with the whole .hack storyline? I understand that it goes .hack//sign followed buy luminality and then twilight or vice versa I cant remember exactly but where does .hack//gift fit in btw I haven't seen gift I have seen all the rest though

//GIFT is sort of a parody that makes fun of the franchise. They draw it funny, make jokes you normally wouldn't hear, add some fanservice, even, and it's also sub only. It is what it is, a gift. There's no real continuity intended.

You get it with .Hack Quarintine. It's pretty funny, only Japanese voices though.

I like how lame it is. Like Tony K. said, it's just a joke. A .hack fan might like it, but it's not exactly a serious anime to add to your list. Oh yeah, and you kinda have to buy all the games to be able to see it. (Not all of them, but it comes in the last one.)

No. Its not part of the story. .hack//GIFT was simply a bonus for people in Japan that bought all 4 of the .hack games. Its kinda like .hack//SouthPark.
It was thrown in with the US .hack//quarantine as a perk. |
