Is there any place where I can get statistics on individual manga series sales in japan? I am looking for annual sales figures for individual series, preferably for a large number of series and not just for the top 20 or 30. I know that Orion has a good database and I tried to search there but I do not know any japanese to navigate the website properly. Can anyone kindly help me? Thanks!!

There was an article up in Talkback a while ago that had the volume sales for 2010. Here it is: Link to Chart.
You might be able to find something, but I'm not certain. If the Japanese publishing industry is anything like the American publishing industry, actual sales numbers are usually proprietary information and not released except to occasionally brag or promote a series (or for something like the chart I linked to). |
