I realize this post may be a little redundant as most of these have already been solicited at least once and ended up getting rescheduled into May, but Funi finally published their official May retailer book today so hopefully most of these dates are now 'officially' locked in.

Sweet! Thanks for the update. I'll let my roommate know about the Soul Eater blu-ray set having a confirmed release date (he loves the show and definitely wants them on blu-ray). Smile

Soul Eater is on my radar for the BD, but I want to wait until I hear about how they look because if they don't look good I will just go after the DVD's instead. The YYH BD also interest me, but if it doesn't look that good I will just stick with the DVD sets I already have.

Anime cry

No second seasons of Shana or Strike Witches.

Oh well. I can wait. I'll just buy figures until they come out.

OK, I forgot the Air Gear SAVE in my last update, but is there a reason you couldn't pop into the thread I've been maintaining for over a month and say I forgot one thing and then announce it as official? It's not redundant because these have already been put up and delayed, it's redundant because aside from the Air Gear box set that was just announced today that I accidentally forgot, but would've caught probably when I got home, my list is the exact same as yours.

I don't know what Strike Witches 2 deal is since I figured that would've already streeted, but Shana is being held up because it's a Geneon Universal title, and all of those are on hold while Funimation tries to get things sorted out with them. We don't know how long those will be held up, but my guess (and it's purely an unfounded guess) is that we won't see a solicitation until the end of the year or beginning of next. GU is a bigger company than they're used to working with, and Funi still has a whole lot left unsolicited, so it'll take time.

Well, not "exactly" . . .

. . . but maybe I'm just reading too much into things.

Kind of appropos, though - I believe TKoH unceremoniously dumped braves from the job. Man, who knew that starting solicitation threads could be such a dog eat dog world? Twisted Evil

But in all seriousness, I do prefer - regardless of who does it - that such a thread only be posted once a distrib has "officially" posted their release dates. Until Rob explained that online retailers like TRSI sometimes examine goat entrails and read tea leaves to come up with their release dates, I didn't realize that was happening. It unfairly made Funi look like it was constantly changing a bunch of dates (which they have been doing, too, but not to the extent I think we all assumed).

There's no point in posting unofficial solicitations if they change so radically. It's a pain for whomever starts the thread (to keep it updated) and it's irritating for readers.

I like to think of that situation as me humbly relinquishing the throne to The King of Harts. The transition between the two eras was seamless.

(see what I did there? Throne-> King? anybody?

braves, your graciousness in the face of TKoH's brutal coup d'etat is both humbling and inspiring... Wink

Good to see Kiddy Grade back in print. That was one of the shows I wish I hadn't missed out on, and I refuse to buy that horrid Viridian cardboard mess.
