I think it was eating that worm thing that opened the Gate of Babylon.

Thanks for the response. That's what I was hoping it was. I was a bit creeped out wondering if it was eating a person or not. Anyway, Shaman King seems to have a surprising amount of mature content in there that is left uncut. People get beaten up pretty badly and some actually die(instead of being permanently disabled). I was also pretty surprised by the realistic-looking guns(not edited to look like sling-shots) actually being pointed at people in numerous episodes. This 4kids version of Shaman King definitely doesn't seem as horribly cut and edited as One Piece is.

Yeah, and yet Lyserg's derringer is still edited into some sort of pop-gun thing, so they are still wildly inconsistant. Honestly they should just save themselves a lot of work and STOP liscensing shows that are innapropriate for the timeslots they insist on running them in in the first place.
The last two episodes of One Piece alone have presumably taken a TON of editing time due to the removal of Smoker's cigars (he has a ton of them in case you weren't aware) that would be completely unnecessary in any other time slot (or in a sane world).

When did children's television have anything to do with sanity?
