So, is this going to do to manga in the US what the Musicland bankruptcy did to anime?

So, we're only losing some locations? Not all?

Borders lists the stores that are closing.

Yeah I don't think San Antonio was even touched, bookstores seem to do well in this city.

Sad about all the other poor borders locations though.

I thought for sure when I saw Boston on the list that the store near me would close to, but it doesn't appear to be on that list. Still, they don't seem to be getting new stock very quickly, I'm about 25 releases behind on stuff I'm reading, so if they aren't going to be able to get new releases of manga then it doesn't matter much if they're open or not.

One that I normally go to is closing Sad ; there is a second one I also go to that isn't on the list, so that is good.

The remaining stores in NEPA all survived, but we were hit hard in the last round of closings. I'm surprised there closing King of Prussia, that's one of the nicest Borders stores I've seen.

No, they'll continue to operate normally, as they say.

I just really hope people don't freak out and stop going to Borders altogether (of course, if a local one is closing, that can't be helped). They can't recuperate if they aren't making money.

They're closing all the stores in my area (6 locations!!)! ;__; I'll have to drive 15-30 miles to go to a bookstore now!
