Sigh, sounds like the "Big C" or one of it's cousins may have struck again.
Condolences to his Family, Friends and Fans.

I'm really sad to hear this. Kaleido Star is such a wonderful and inspirational series. Ikeda was very cheerful when speaking of the series in the interviews that were included with the DVDs. His work was appreciated and he will be missed. I hope that Wish Angel will still be able to be produced, and possibly in memory of Mr. Ikeda. May he rest in peace.

I hate to hear this! Kaleido star's one of my very favorite animes and the second complete series I ever got in my collection. RIP Ikeda-san, and may your animes forever be in our hearts.

Wow that's too young to die. I have the older ADV edition of Kaleido Star but haven't watched it yet, I may try and get round to it soon in memory of this guy. My condolences to his family and friends.
