Sigh, looks like a SAO knock-off.

This "gamers trapped in virtual world" crap is new genre by now.So I wouldn't really say that it is SAO knock-off.

I hate when this happens, something gets popular and cheap knockoffs follow, without any value.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think SAO was good, but I'm sure this particular title worth nothing, and only gets animated because of the latter's success.

It's not new, SAO just make it more marketable. Like how sci-fi exploded after Star Wars, but 2001, Planet of the Apes, Solaris, and Forbidden Planet all came way before. Hell, I'm sure we can think of examples prior to Tron (1982) that are about people trapped in video game worlds.

Based on the summaries from the link. The players are not trapped in the game, but summoned to a different world that's a combination of the game and real world (game mechanics are still in effect, so dying is impossible).
Hikikomori adventuring in medieval fantasy Akihabara sounds like it could be fun. I will probably buy the books on my next trip to Japan.

Well it almost certainly can't be worse than SAO. So sure. Whatever.

You forgot to mention that Mamare Touno is also the author of the Maoyuu Maou Yuusha novels and it's 5 manga adaptions which is also airing as an anime right now.

SAO anime was rubbish for me so if this is gonna be like SAO, I won't like it. But, I do like MMORPGs and I'm a big fan of RPGs so I'll give this a shot. Also, minimal ecchi only if there's gonna be any.

Could people :
a- Only people who have read the LN/Manga talk about any comparisons since they actually know what they are talking about.
b- Stop comparing this to SAO. I hate people who go along "Oh this is a total ripoff of "x" it must suck"
c- Give this show a chance. If this half as good of a show as the authors other works, I'm sure it will be an enjoyable anime.
