I was hoping Kalafina would sing something. Oh well, Luna Haruna has a nice voice, so I'm sure the new ending will be good.

Second season or second cour? Probably second cour, and if so, I think the article needs to make it a little more clear since it's a bit misleading atm.

In most cases a "second cour" is looked at as a "season" considering most anime is produced in and aired in 12-13 episode blocks anymore. So the article isn't really wrong.

Except for the fact that the term "cour" specifically is used to avoid this entire confusion. |

Nowadays most anime are consists of 12 episodes a season (Shounen series are usually the exception). So 25 episodes mean two consecutive seasons. Luna Haruna is going to sing the next SAO ending song? After that epic Fate/Zero ending? These are great news indeed! |

No it doesn't. This is the exact reason they use the cour term in the Japanese TV industry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cours_(TV_production)#Seasons.2Fseries "The Japanese have sometimes subdivided television series and dramas into kūru (クール?), from the French term cours for course, which is a three-month period usually of 13 episodes. Each kūru generally has its own opening and ending image sequence and song, recordings of which are often sold." A season is a specific block of time an anime airs. So if it airs for 2 cour, thats 1 season. If it airs again 2 years later, thats a 2nd season, not a 3rd season. Theres much confusion that can just all be fixed by using these two words with their real meanings instead of trying to use season for everything. |

I care because she's cute. I'm deep like that. |

There are four anime seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. Each season is one cour in length. |
